After School Care!2025-2026 School Year
Who: Children in Grades K-2 in Houlton, Hodgdon, and surrounding areasWhere: Houlton Parks and Recreation Department (Gentle Memorial Building)128 Main StreetDates and Times: Starting the first day of school (Wednesday, August 27) and will go until the last day of school. After Care will run Monday - Friday from 2:30pm - 5:30pm. Children will have the option to ride the bus to the Rec Center after school.*You won't see the month of August when registering. This program is billed by the month, so we don't want to charge you for the whole month for just three days. Instead, payments will begin on September 1st. Program will start on Wednesday, August 28th!Pricing: 5 Days per week - $200 per month (Resident) | $250 per month (Non-Resident)4 Days per week - $160 per month (Resident) | $200 per month (Non-Resident)3 Days per week - $120 per month (Resident) | $150 per month (Non-Resident)Pricing Break Down:5 days per week$200 x 9 months = $1800$1800 / 152 school days = $11.84$11.84 per day4 days per week$160 x 9 months = $1440$1440 / appx 127 school days = $11.34$11.34 per day3 days per week$120 x 9 months = $1080$1080 / appx 97 school days = $11.13$11.13 per dayFees and Payment:The first payment will not be made until September 1st. When you register, automatic monthly payments will be set up. Your credit/debit card will be charged on the 1st of every month automatically. When registering, you will be able to choose which days/months to register for. You will need to notify the Parks and Recreation Department if the payment information needs to be updated should your card expire or needs to be changed for any reason. If you wish to pay using a different option, please get in touch with us prior to registering!Cancellation/Refund Policy:If withdrawing from the program, a written notice is needed at least two weeks prior to the withdrawal day. If there are any days remaining in the month of withdrawal, there will be no refund. Please get in touch with us prior to the start of the next month so we can cancel the automatic payments.Other information:Staff will greet your children off the bus and lead them to their designated area where all their belongings will be kept safe. There will be games, crafts, indoor/outdoor activities, time to complete any school work, and much more! Snacks will be provided.*When school is cancelled by RSU #29: No After Care*When school closes early by RSU #29: No After Care*When there is school vacation or teacher workshop days, there is no After Care*Early Release Days will be included in After Care
